
this summer, we built a temporary waterfront gym to kick off our strength training chapter…
strength training @ west canal yards.
in the summer of 2025, we got the opportunity to build a temporary gym at west canal yards. while the space itself may be new and still growing, the leaders of this space each bring extensive experience and a unique perspective. our vision is to see more people feel empowered in strength training, able to access the inner athlete we all possess that keeps us moving comfortably for the long game.
as we move into fall 2025, we’ll continue building within our temporary gym while working toward a long-term, permanent home here. each day is an opportunity to begin again and we are excited to build this story with our community.
we’re starting with two class formats and personal training options:
foundation: our weekday strength format with smaller class sizes and intentional programming that builds week over week. designed to help you learn strength with care while progressing your training over time.
groundwork: our weekend format, a full-body conditioning class rooted in the basics and fueled by community energy. expect a blend of strength and cardio that builds stamina, sharpens movement, and lays the base for everything else.
personal training: built entirely around your unique growth. whether you’re brand new to strength training and want to learn the foundations safely and confidently, or an experienced athlete ready to level up toward specific goals, nate & colin (+ our growing team) will meet you where you are. with evidence-based programming, one-on-one attention, and a relationship rooted in trust, personal training gives you the structure, accountability, and expertise to grow stronger in ways that last — both inside and outside the gym.

all of our classes are listed alongside our cycle schedule online & in our app. throughout fall, our schedule will expand with more classes and team members. when we sign for the long term, the gym will be officially launch it’s own app.

colin is a strength and conditioning coach with deep roots in seattle’s athletic community. as head of strength and conditioning at ballard high school, he’s led youth athletes to build strength, confidence, and teamwork — lessons he now brings into our growing programming and community. his passion lies in creating safe environments where people of all levels can discover they’re capable of more than they ever imagined. colin’s coaching style combines technical expertise with encouragement, always aiming to inspire growth, connection, and belief in what’s possible through movement.

nathan (or nate!) brings a master’s degree in sports science and rehab alongside a decade of coaching & training experience with individuals across all athletic levels. he’s known for creating evidence-based, personalized programs that help people build confidence in their movement and strength. nate’s background in injury prevention and performance means he can meet you at any starting point — from learning the basics to chasing specific athletic goals. always meeting each person where they are. his focus is on building strength that lasts, with a foundation of trust, resilience, and long-term growth.

through fall 2025, we have a west canal yards only class credit for $22

interested in personal training?
all training starts with an initial workout to kick off the relationship, talk about current experience, goals, and find a regular schedule. we offer 1:1, couples, and small group (up to 4 people) personal training options.
please include your current schedule availablity and earliest available start. there is no such thing as ready, the best time to start is now. as we are in our build phase, personal training sessions start at $100-$150/hour (much lower than industry standard). we will include specific pricing in our initial email.
